Since 2003, head of the certificated laboratory of environmental mycology (international approval) & deputy chief of microbiology,
Coordinator of 10 longlasting scientific grants (EC, European bilateral, domestic), and investigator in 12 scientific and 2 educational projects (dtto).

Teaching activity:

  • establishing and leading of the national postgradual course on environmental /medical myco-/mycotoxicology, Slovak Medical University, Bratislava (2x/2x per yr, since 1998/2012)
  • individual postgradual students, incl. international participants, lecturing at the CBS-ISHAM courses of human and veterinary medical mycology, lecturing the postgradual courses of indoor mycology at the National Chamber of Building Construction Specialists
  • pregradual education: courses of myco-/mycotoxicology/microbial toxicology – Slovak Medical University, Comenius University, Slovak Technical University, Bratislava, Slovak Agricultural University, Nitra
  • supervisor of 10 PhD-theses, 27 MSc- and Bc-dissertations
  • member of the National Commission for PhD-State Exams in Mycology.

Her professional expertize comprises:

  • complex indoor myco- and mycotoxicology with the public health outcome: indoor microclimate, inner sources of mycobiota, affections by outside mycoflora, fungal aerosol propagules spreading conditions and vectors, incl. molecular epidemiology, in vitro and in vivo toxicology of indoor (toxic) fungi and their extrolites at the organism, organ, tissue as well as cellular and subcellular level,
  • general environmental and medical mycology and mycotoxicology,
  • microbiological testing of biocidal effects in all relevant aspects,
  • expert consultancies in all forementioned fields, incl. arbitrary expertises,
  • presenting and educational activities from popular to the postgradual levels.

Other activities:

  • member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Public Health, SMU, Bratislava
  • expert in mycology for project evaluation (EC, national grant agencies) and for accreditation and certification (Slovak National Accreditation Service)
  • member of the Editorial Board of the Annals of Agricultural and Environmental Microbiology (CC journal)
  • member of the Main Committee of the Czechoslovak Society for Microbiology (2001 – 2005), the Executive Board of the Slovak Mycopathological Society (2006 – 2010), chief of the financial board of the Slovak Mycological Society (since 2012), member of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (1997 – 1999), member of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate, International Society on Human and Animal Mycology, Czech Scientific Society for Mycology, Croatian Microbiological Society, Slovak Society of Clinical Microbiology 
  • deputy of the Ministry of Health in the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic Commission for evaluation of patents, utility models and designs
  • member of the Program/Scientific Committees of international conferences on myco-/microbiology.
