Pedro Ramos Caramona obtained his graduate degree in Animal Production Engineering from the University UTAD – Portugal, following an International BSc. degree in International Livestock Production at CAH – Dronten – The Netherlands.

His thesis project was a collaborative effort between Utah State University (USA) in the area of animal nutrition, focusing on improving Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) in milk and dairy products.

In August 2005-2011 Pedro worked at Alltech California, operating at farm level with nutritionists, researchers and large dairy producers, being appointed Project Manager in 2008 where he worked in California and Arizona.

Pedro is currently leading the Mycotoxin Management project since 2011 which has the goal of understanding the Mycotoxin challenge in Europe and development of management support programs based on HACCP principles to reduce the risk of Mycotoxin contamination on the feed and food chains.
