Vanda Plečko, assoc. prof., PhD was appointed as the Head of the Laboratory for Molecular diagnostics of the Clinical Department for Clinical and molecular Microbiology CHC Zagreb from January 1^st 2000. Since January 1^st 2011 she was appointed as the Head of the Clinical Department for clinical and molecular microbiology. She is leading several European and Croatian scientific collaborations and projects and she is a Croatian representative in European Confederation of Medical Mycologists. She is also the Head of Croatian Reference centre for prevention of hospital acquired infections and responsible for financial and organising part of Croatian national program for infection prevention control. She published 50 articles cited in international databases and more than 100 abstracts.
