About the Summer School

The preliminary programme of Power of Viral Vectors in Gene Therapy and Basic Science Summer School consists of invited speakers talks, oral presentations, poster sessions, and an excursion. The Summer School will cover the different aspects of viral vectors use, ranging from the gene therapy to the basic science. The target audience of this meeting consists of virologists, microbiologists, oncologists, infectious disease doctors and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of monogenic diseases and cancer. A few invited speakers from the gene therapy biotech companies will join us as well. We encourage the scientists, people from the industry, the postdocs and the PhD students to attend this meeting. We also encourage the people from all over the Europe to join us. The Organizing Committee has secured a limited number of FEMS meeting attendance grants for the young scientists, which will be used to support the attendance of young microbiologists from all over the Europe. Approximatelly 70 paticipants are expected at the School.


Meet the Speakers

One of the aims of this summer school is to provide an opportunity for PhD students and young postdocs to discuss in detail their research with experts in the field as well as with each other. Participants will also have time for informal chats with the experts.
