Assoc. Prof. Tatjana Vilibić-Čavlek, MD., Medical Microbiology Specialist, works at the Croatian Institute of Public Health (CIPH) and the School of Medicine University of Zagreb. She is the Head of the Reference Center for Diagnosis and Surveillance of Viral Zoonoses Croatian Ministry of Health and the National Reference Laboratory for Arboviruses at CIPH. She has participated as a project leader or collaborator on several scientific projects supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Science and Education. She was a leader of a four-year project (2017-2021) funded by the Croatian Science Foundation: „Prevalence and molecular epidemiology of emerging and re-emerging neuroinvasive arboviral infections in Croatia“; CRONEUROARBO. She has participated in the organization of several scientific conferences supported by the WHO and the Croatian Science Foundation. She is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Veterinaria Italiana journal (Italy) and Editorial Board member in the journals: Frontiers in Microbiology (Virology Section, Switzerland), Archives of Veterinary Medicine (Serbia), and Croatian Journal of Infection (Croatia). She was a Guest Editor of the Special Issues „Emerging and neglected viruses and zoonoses“ (Pathogens, Switzerland) and „Ecology, Evolution, and Epidemiology of Zoonotic and Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases“ (Microorganisms, Switzerland).
