Date: 23rd to 26th of September 2015
Venue: Šibenik, Croatia
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the fifth Central European Symposium on Antimicrobials and Antimicrobial Resistance, CESAR 2015, from 23rd to 26th of September 2015 in Šibenik, Croatia.
At CESAR 2015, renowned and internationally recognized speakers from Europe, USA and Japan will present the latest results of their scientific work in the field of antimicrobial resistance. CESAR 2015 also offers an opportunity for all the participants to share their knowledge, thoughts and experience on antimicrobial resistance and health threatening problems caused by this microbial phenomenon, to exchange ideas with colleagues and experts in the field, as well as to lay the groundwork for the beginning of new international collaborations in common scientific projects, and last but not least, it offers a warm and pleasant atmosphere for both scientific and personal experience.
The advantage of this symposium is the scientific programme which is well balanced and focused, offering participants an opportunity to present and discuss current scientific achievements and knowledge in the field of antimicrobial resistance. The programme also encourages the discussion about the development of new antimicrobial drugs and their effectiveness, the rational use of the existing and new antimicrobial chemotherapeutics and the worldwide unmet medical need for new, effective and well tolerated antibiotics.
Croatian Microbiological Society is organizing this symposium in collaboration with Microbiological Societies from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. FEMS has recognized CESAR 2015 as a Pan-European meeting. This recognition resulted in the FEMS Meeting Support Grant and therefore CESAR 2015 will provide a number of student grants for attendance. We are encouraging young scientists in the field of antimicrobial resistance to apply for the FEMS grant for CESAR 2015.
We look forward to welcoming you in Šibenik in September 2015 with hope that CESAR 2015 will offer you an excellent opportunity to get the latest information in the field of antimicrobial resistance and development of new drugs and treatments of infective diseases caused by resistant microorganisms.
