The panel was held within the symposium \u201ePower of microbes in Industry and Environment 2019\u201c in Sveti Martin na Muri (May 15-18, 2019). This is the 6<sup>th<\/sup> symposium which is organised by Croatian Microbiological Society until now.<\/p>\n<p>Moderators of the panel were prof. Renata Tepari\u0107, PhD and prof. Anita Slavica, PhD. In the frame of this panel, asst. prof. Andreja Lebo\u0161 Pavunc, PhD (Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology), the member of the project team and one of the mentors, has presented the project by giving the lecture entitled \u201eService Learning Project in Microbiology \u2013 a New Avenue Being Explored by the Croatian Microbiological Society and Its Partners.\u201c In addition to the project, the concept of service learning, as well as education of the mentors, volunteers and students on the project was presented. Two volunteers of the Croatian Microbiological Society, prof. Roberto Antolovi\u0107, PhD and Domagoj Kifer, mag. pharm., helped to organize the panel.
