Dubravko Pavoković

Dubravko Pavoković is an Associate Professor of Molecular Biology at the Division of Molecular Biology, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. He studied alterations in sugar metabolism and its signaling in sugar beet cells at the University of Orléans, France. His current research interests include intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs), which function as allosteric regulators, enzyme catalysts, and mediators of post-translational modifications. More recently, he has begun investigating Wolbachia bacteria in various organisms in the Republic of Croatia. His initial research focused on Wolbachia populations in ants, and his current work has expanded to include spiders on which he will to talk at the congress. Throughout his career, he has participated in several scientific research projects and served as the principal investigator of the commercial project “IgY Technology – A New and Affordable Diagnostic Procedure for the Detection of Neoplasms in Canines.” He is a member of four Croatian biological societies (HBD-SBC, CSPB, HDBMB, and CMS) and currently serves as Vice President of the CSPB.
