Power of Viruses

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the conference Power of Viruses in Valamar Diamant Hotel, Poreč, Croatia, during May 16-18, 2018.
The symposium is a result of our continuous efforts in promoting virology through a series of events:
- Adenoviruses – Basic Biology to Gene Therapy, 2008
- Power of Viral Vectors in Gene Therapy and Basic Science, 2014, and
- Croatian Virology Workshop (CroViWo), 2014.
Encouraged with their success, we are organizing the international conference Power of Viruses for the first time with the aim of stimulating further development of virology in Europe, especially in the south-eastern Europe, and to facilitate international networking of virologists from medical, plant, veterinary and other sub-fields.
The chosen venue in Poreč at the Adriatic coast with its rich history, scenic beauty and accessibility provides a perfect setting for scientific discussions and informal networking.
The conference is co-organized by the Slovenian Microbiological Society and Czechoslovakian Microbiological Society.
Scientific programme will be prepared by international scientific committee of virologists from various fields.
The meeting is linked with the working groups meetings of the COST Action FA1407 dealing with deep investigation of virus associated sequences (Cost DIVAS). However, the participation in COST DIVAS is not required for the participation in the conference.
Wishing to attract as many young researchers as possible, the Organising Committee has provided lower registration fees for students and special accommodation rates for participants of the meeting. FEMS grants for the participation to the meeting are available for young researchers, and we are actively seeking more opportunities from other international organizations (ICGEB Grant).

Priručnik za vježbe iz opće mikrobiologije
Ovaj sveučilišni priručnik napisalo je petnaestak autora iz desetak visokoškolskih ustanova iz Zagreba i Rijeke, a sadržaj je podijeljen u petnaest, slikama bogato ilustriranih poglavlja u kojima su opisane i obrađene različite bakteriološke, virološke, mikološke, imunološke i molekularno-biološke metode koje se upotrebljavaju u općoj mikrobiologiji koja se studira na nizu različitih fakulteta i visokih škola.
Veterinarska imunologija
Radi se o vrhunskoj literaturi za potrebe visokoškolske nastave iz veterinarske imunologije. Knjiga je svojim sadržajem namijenjena prvenstveno studentima, ali i veterinarima u praksi i nastavnicima.
