Vanda Juranić Lisnić, Croatia

Vanda Juranić Lisnić is Assistant professor at the Department for Histology and embryology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka.  She received her BSc in biotechnology from Faculty of Food technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb, and PhD in biomedicine from Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka in 2013. She has authored and co-authored 10 scientific papers and 2 book chapters. Her work focuses on the pathogenesis and immune responses to cytomegalovirus. For her scientific work, she has received 9 awards including award of Croatian Genetic Society, Croatian Immunological Society, Croatian Microbiologyical Society and University of Rijeka. Vanda also participated in numerous science popularization events and has translated EFIS’ “Get inside your immune system” web-exhibition (http://www.inside-immunity.org/hr ).
